Hello Hotchkiss K-8 Families!

My name is Bryan Hollembeak and it is my pleasure to introduce myself to the community of Hotchkiss as the new K-8 principal. I bring to the position 25 years of successful teaching, coaching, and administrative work from Arizona. I earned my Bachelors degree in secondary education from the University of Northern Colorado and my Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. My wife and kids are thrilled to move to Colorado. I am a BULLDOG to the core, having spent all of my K-12 education in Hotchkiss. I was blessed to grow up in this area with the wonderful people who choose to live here. The education I received in the Hotchkiss schools prepared me for life and laid the foundation for a successful college and professional career. I have great memories of friends, teachers, coaches, principals, and family in Hotchkiss. I’m excited to walk some of the same halls I attended in my grade school years!

What’s best for kids? It is building and maintaining relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. I strongly believe in collaboration and working as a team. This includes partnering with the superintendent, administrative staff, faculty, students, parents, and the community in which I serve. I believe better decisions and communication are made through this process. I believe that schools are an extension of the community. The priorities of any school are student learning and student achievement. I believe these can be accomplished academically and socially with a variety of activities and resources, which develop the whole child. I also believe that all students can learn and achieve academic success. It is my responsibility as the school leader to help these young students become productive citizens and help them obtain the skills necessary to be successful in a 21st century society.

The success I have enjoyed in my career is because great people have surrounded me and positively influenced my life. We have an outstanding staff at Hotchkiss K-8, and we are dedicated to the success of our students. I am eager to work with this great team of people who have made it their career to help kids. I look forward to working with you and your child this coming school year.

Go Dogs,

Bryan Hollembeak

Hotchkiss K-8 Principal
